Golden Triangle, Golden Memories 13–28 Oct 2024
If you're even thinking about going to India, stop. Just GO. And go with Naydene from Face 2 Face Tours because wow, wow, WOW... this woman delivers travel magic on a silver (or should I say, masala-spiced) platter.
We did the famous Golden Triangle and every moment was curated to perfection. My absolute favourite city? Pushkar — the vibe, the colors, the shopping! I bargained like a pro (who even am I now?) and came home with enough treasures to fill a few suitcases.
From dusty roads and buzzing markets to grand old palaces and tranquil temples. We experienced the highs and lows of India in the best way possible. Each city brought new wonder, and every time we moved on, we were more wowed by the incredible accommodations (think comfy beds, floral crown welcomes at each hotel, and even laundry service - bliss).
We stayed in beautiful hotels and spent two special nights in a homestay in Udaipur, where we did a cooking class with the lovely Sushma. Think warm hospitality, heartfelt laughter, and seriously good food. It felt like being part of an Indian family, truly unforgettable.
We visited the Taj Mahal, stood in awe at Agra Fort, and wandered through ancient palaces with expert local guides who brought history to life. I swear I learned more in two weeks than I did in a whole year of school.
We rolled up our sleeves for a block printing workshop where we made our own scarves! Yes actual handmade art by yours truly. My inner creative was doing cartwheels.
We had henna done, rode in tuktuks (my absolute fave mode of transport), and ate the most flavor packed food I’ve ever tasted.
And then there was Good Morning Pineapple. An inside joke turned iconic trip anthem, born when I cheekily asked a few locals to sing it for me.. By the end of our first week, the whole group was singing along.
The cherry on top? Our journey ended with an overnight train back to New Delhi, before one final night together. Honestly, from start to finish, Naydene’s planning was chef’s kiss: from our cool, air-conditioned bus to our amazing driver Nargi (seriously, what a gentleman), everything ran seamlessly.
Our group of ladies was amazing. So much so that three of us are already booked for Turkey with Naydene again.
India left me humbled, excited, and completely wowed. The people are warm, the country is vibrant, and the memories? Pure gold.
Naydene, you’re an absolute gem. Thank you for giving us the kind of trip people only dream about.
